I’m going to guess around $3000 to maybe $3500 to someone really interested in collecting Case from those years. If you have boxes, and or other inventory it could be a good bit more.
I’m not making an offer but I will say congrats for owning a nice setup.

Re: Old case knife ID
I would have guessed it was a 14 pattern instead of a 16. I thought the 16 almost always had only 1 bolster. The 14 is 3-3/8 also.

On the sixteenth reply, Oscar got it right with his “woke indoctrinated young people” reply. In my opinion, that’s the cause of lots of today’s problems. Their minds, thankfully, don’t work like ours. And besides, who doesn’t love blaming things on “ being woke”

Do a search for Robeson 132433 and you will find many just like it. Seems like they were quite popular.

Re: Sad day ... Grandpa passed today
I’m very sorry for your loss. There is no way around the sadness. It just takes time. You are a lucky man to have had his influence in your life and it sounds like you know that. Cherish the memories and try your best to be that same positive influence for someone else. That’s the best way to honor ...

Challenge Fishtail
I found this one last weekend at one of my favorite holes. It's missing a lot of blade material but is still really tight with plenty of snap. Considering it's age, I'd say it has survived fairly well. I thought the fishtail pattern was kind of neat and the bones are in great shape but you sure can ...

Re: Case 6383 sab
You know, it does cause you to wonder why so many people attack knife blades with grinders. I mean, just look at the time that poor ole Mike had to spend just to clean up the mess that someone made with a grinder. It’s always nice to rescue one and bring it back so some form of usefulness. Good job ...

Re: Case 6383 sab
Well, it definitely looks better. Just sharpen and slide in your pocket. On the bright side, you don’t need to worry about things in your pocket that might scratch it. Probably still has lots of use in it.

Re: Case Pumpkin Box
Another interesting thing is that there was an old receipt from Lanier’s Hardware store in Lexington, NC inside the box along with one plastic sleeve that looks like it may have contained an oily substance. The receipt is barely readable but I can make out a few things but no clues as the the knives...

Case Pumpkin Box
I have an older case knife box that I think people call a pumpkin box. It is stamped Qty. 6 and I241. I see Case used the prefix I for imitation ivory but I can’t find where the made a pattern 241, or 41. Anyone have insight as to what was once in this box.
Thanks!

The one I use is more like this. The one you pictured could be made to work if you get creative and find a way to invert it and hold it steady.

Re: How re-profile blade tip
I’ll throw my 2 cent in the ring and say that I think it looks cool just like it is. If it was mine I’d sharpen it and use it as it is. Now, none of that matters, cause it’s yours. So, have you considered a belt sander with a fine grit belt. I do all of my re-profile work on one and it works fantast...

One of my favorite brands. You have a nice one there to slip in your pocket. I’m digging that matchstrike pull.

There is a reason why some refer to those grinders as death wheels. Glad you are okay!

Re: Request opinions on Camillus pocketknife
So are you thinking maybe it’s a Remington knife with a replacement blade fro Camillus? Looking at the picture Swedgehead posted, I can see the resemblance between the bone on his and the bone on mine.

Re: Request opinions on Camillus pocketknife
Wow. Thanks for the additional info guys. I guess Swedgehead and Ripster were right about the blade being from a 100th anniversary model 200. Ripster asked a couple of questions about the liners and the length. I believe the liners are steel and the length looks to be 3-7/8" maybe 4" depen...

Re: Request opinions on Camillus pocketknife
Guys, as always, I really appreciate and value your opinions. I’m really liking this knife and I think the bone is beautiful on it. Shame that the main blade had to be replaced but at least it seems like whoever did it, did a decent job.
Thanks so much for your posts.
