Re: June 2012 AAPK Knife Giveaway (Revised 5/22)

I never flew a Panther in anger, only in advanced training at Corpus Christi. And the Bearcat was WAY before my time. I have flown a few prop planes, T-34, T-28, SNJ and AD-1. Your analogy is nice however. I found your list and see that you added a zero in front of my old HS number. Thanks and those...

Re: June 2012 AAPK Knife Giveaway (Revised 5/22)

I'll take my old highschool basketball number 34 if it's not taken What happened to the old system where all the numbers were listed and they were marked taken each time one was selected?

Re: Bladeshow Finds

Thanks, Michael! I was travelling in China during the Blade Show. I know there is a thread here at AAPK extolling the virtues of Chinese made knives. It's true that the Chinese are good at copying products. Their streets and freeways are filled with good quality American cars, made in China. I am no...

Re: looking for mr otto

You are right, Mark, that was my experience with Otto in the past but: Not paying for or mailing a knife for two months is NOT "Rock Solid". Something is wrong with the guy.

Re: Bladeshow Finds

I think Canal Street makes knives for Moore Maker. I know MM does not make any knives.

Re: looking for mr otto

On May 2, 2011 I sent Otto one of my Schatt Morgan Harness Jacks. I had agreed to sell it to him for $60+$3. shipping. He said he would mail me a check. After a week or so with no payment I called him. He apologized for being disorganized and promised immediate payment. Time passed without receipt o...

I agree that it is Giraffe Bone. I've been carrying one off and on for quite a while.

Re: AAPK at Blade Show 2011

I really enjoyed attending last year. It was especially good to meet "moose and bronco" I'd go this year but I found a first class river cruise to China for a cut rate price during the same time. You know I never could pass up a bargain. Don't worry I won't be buying any knives. I prefer t...

Off the top of my head here are a few good honest dealers. Also Michael Siegel has a direct connection to Wally @ Canal Street. His Email is:

Re: Any Canal Street Fans Out There?

Thanks to Phil Stevens for alerting me to this thread. I don't have any photos but here is a list of my nearly 50 different Half Moon Trappers. As you can see a couple of them are very rare!. I got them from Rich Lanigan who has a special connection with Wally Gardiner at Canal Street. I think they ...
