Good looking set, Joe, is your Laguiole a folder or a fixer? ::shrug:: Thx!

Folder. Found it on the bay a couple of years ago for peanuts. Very well made. Very tough two hand closing.

Re: Parkers

The next time I see a thread about an unfamiliar knife I’m turning the page. Look what happened this time. Little Bandits in da’ house. You sure are smitten with those "Bandits", Joe, and what a nice thing to be smitten with! Great trio you posted, bud! 8) Thanks. I'll be carrying one for...

That’s one of the benefits of the Parkers, they’re not big. They’re about 4 1/8” closed versus maybe 5 1/4” for the more familiar standard clasp knife.

Re: Pocket knife jargon questions?

Welcome to AAPK Rick. This place is a fountain of knowledge. As to the number system of opening a folder, the simplest explanation I've heard is that a Swiss Army Knife (which is very consistent) is a "5" and everything else works off of that, either < easier or > harder.

Re: Knife Photography

Like I said if I found an Xmas Tree lockback at a fair price I would consider it. Well, that didn't take long. On it's way to me. I like the stripes on that one, great colors. Makes ya smile just seeing it. I have all the good folks here at AAPK to thank, or is it to blame? (LOL) It looks beautiful...

The other day I hit the pivot pin a few times which has left it with a minimal amount of downward play, which is probably indicative of the wood and the way it’s fit to the lock and the blade.
