knife repair shops or repair hobbiest....
I have a older [30s early 40s] Pritzlaff Hardware knife ...2 blade equal ends jack with wood scales......one of the blade springs is broken [small blade]...I know it will not be economically feasible to have it fixed but would like to have the spring replaced anyhow as long as it doesn't break the b...

Thanks for the answer....that's what I thought....but it seems like a little more than quality control....seems like they purposely made them that way so they didn't have to polish them smooth with the scales…. two end pins countersunk center pin left with full head.....they seem to of changed back ...

I have noticed that a lot of early 90s vintage case knives have noticeably countersunk pins....any real reason for that....

looks like the 031 body to me.....I have some of the electrician knives...and yea more snap and spring strength than needed….a real nail breaker..

my daughter was born in 74 and my son in 78....so most of the knives I give them are from their birth year....I personally like the 90-93 date stamped knives.....
