More pics. Hilarious. He out weighs her by like 55 pounds. Third pic of course is after daily lesson on hierarchy. She is Alpha Queen. He is the jester. As he gets older, he will submit to her, but without the drama, but it is play and establishing roles. it is a new round in his mind, just maybe t...

Re: Other Seki Made
That’s a beauty Tony. I checked with my contacts in Japan in the knife industry about who DAM is and they don’t know. I think some day I will stumble across someone that happens to know but that day has still yet to happen. I think my original idea that either Masters Hattori or Fukuta made this. Th...

Winchester?
Saw this one on Ebay and couldn’t help noticing that it looks remarkably like this United Cutlery sleeveboard knife that I use to own. The seller doesn’t really claim it’s authentic but it sure looks like someone doctored up a Japanese made United Cutlery and somehow hot stamped the blades. If I’m w...

Call Culpeppers and ask. Send them those pictures. I’ve always found them to be very helpful. Wouldn’t hurt to try a call.

Re: Japanese Valor "Assassin" - Vintage 80's Knuckle Duster
Today is your lucky day. I’ve had this knife from the first collection I ever purchased. Never knew what to do with it. Not a high quality knife by any means. Made in Taiwan and not Japan. I believe the CI stands for Compass Industries. They had a lot of very nice knives made in Japan back in the 80...

Re: Links not working for customer
Hi Mark, I just finished digging into this a bit. Looks like Garry's store in vacation mode until the 18th. That is why his items are not showing in the store categories, search, etc. They will return when vacation mode is turned off. His store was not supposed to be displaying on the store drop do...

Links not working for customer
I have a customer that called me and asked if certain sellers were no longer selling. His links that he uses aren’t working. He was hospitalized for a couple of months and when he came back to the site to look at inventory he can’t find certain sellers anywhere. He can’t access the “shop by seller” ...

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
This came in the mail yesterday with stag handles......nope! Replaced with some wood, called Bocote. Let me know what ya think. Cheers, Dave20240314_185950.jpg I think it looks great Dave. I know how that thick stag on some of those older Japanese knives looks and I think replacing it was a good id...

I do like that pattern Mark, the blade and curve of the handle give it a wicked look. Rosecraft really has it going on.

Thanks Mark, I guess there are different colors on each dot in the pictures, but it doesn’t catch the color shift when you move it in the light. Really makes these dots stand out.

Thanks Mark, these are what I call “drop dead gorgeous” or ddg for short. Inlay work is something that Moki does so well.

Re: Collections, Sub-Collections and Family Group Photos
Thought I would post a picture here of these very similar Moki knives that I have. Beautiful inlay work on all three. I just got the black Micarta with blue/green pearl dots in today. These are works of art.

Re: Post your Moki’s
Got in another one that I didn’t already have. It’s a Moki Serapis with black linen Micarta and blue and green pearl dots. Beautiful fit and finish. The stainless steel handle is polished like a mirror. The inlays are beautiful and really shine in different light. You can see a color shift when you ...

Re: Other Seki Made
Mark, I had one in my store once or maybe twice but none right now.
Tony, I have had all of those Coleman’s made in Japan and they are all very well made and beautiful. The sowbelly was a particular favorite of mine.
That one has some beautiful stag on it.

Thank you chickenman, these can be addictive just like Moki’s.
Thank you Mark. If I find one of these Med Barlows in black lip pearl and has scrolled bolsters, I will certainly be adding it to the collection. So far I can’t remember encountering one, so not sure they made those.

Re: Collections, Sub-Collections and Family Group Photos
Case Classics are a particular favorite of mine. I haven’t collected them because I just haven’t wanted to pour the money into all the patterns and handle materials. Some day when I get done with others, I will start on a Case Classic collection. Those are all beautiful. Q, I think I’ve owned or sol...

Re: Collections, Sub-Collections and Family Group Photos
I like the Winstead knives. I don’t know much about that brand. They all look like well made knives. Took some group shots of similar knives made for Cattaraugus Cutlery under A.G. Russell. All made in Japan and have jigged bone, either red or brown jigged bone. The ones with engraving or special bl...

Re: Other Seki Made
Picked up another one for my collection. It’s a Mediterranean Barlow made for Cattaraugus Cutlery and the KCC. This is one of the first 200 produced. You know it’s in the first so many with these since the first ones all had engraved bolsters, some in the first 25 or 50 have some other embellishment...
