Re: Prayers for my Wife, Debbie...
Debbie was diagnosed with MS a couple of days ago. It took a lot of testing and a very long time to determine it. Now that we know what it is, we can start to deal with it. She should get her medication in the mail in a couple of days. Her Neurologist is a really nice Lady and really seems to have i...

Re: Prayers for my Wife, Debbie...
Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. Debbie had a really rough night. They did a spinal pucture yesterday. Apparently it takes time for the fluid to equalize in your spine and she had an unbearable pain between her shoulder blades that just wouldn't stop. Her Dr. finally called in some good drug...

Prayers for my Wife, Debbie...
Hi, ya'll... I haven't been around much in quite a while. My Wife, Debbie, has been going through a lot of tests and I have been there, with her. She has had 3 MRI's in the last 4 months and had spinal fluid drawn, today. The neurologist has about decided that she has Multiple Sclerosis but we won't...

What type of rule is that # 42? Sorry it took so long, Dimitri. The #42 rule is a Stanley, 1 foot, ship's bevel, according to what I found on a site that is selling Stanley rules. It's in great condition. There is one on the site for almost $200. He "says" they are rare(I don't care for t...

Jim Parker was a Friend of mine. He always dealt fairly with me and I sold him a lot of old knives that he gladly paid a good price for. If it weren't for Mr. Parker, W.R. Case and Sons would have been in Japan or China, 20 years ago. Not just the stuff they're making over there now but the whole op...

Re: Cool Old Tools
In addition to little hammers, I also like most any kind of tool, scale, caliper, etc. made out of boxwood.
I have accumulated a few over the years.
Most are marked Stanley, Lufkin, Upson Nut and Craftsman.
The 3 sided draftsman scale is stamped "Iowa State College Special".

Re: Pictures of Miscellaneous Stuff & Things
I was looking at my little hammers and decided to post them. I look for most any(non chinese) small tool with a hammer face on it. I have way too many bigger hammers and don't care that much about them. I use some of these little ones from time to time. I'm always looking for them.

...Buncha junk from our local trade day...
A man set up with several mint Case knives and then dumped these out on the table. He said if a knife wasn't mint, he had no use for it. I asked him how much for all and he said $15.00. I paid him for them, then he threw the Schrade Duck Stamp in, just to get rid of it. I don't think he skinned me T...

Stag Norfolk whittler...sad shape
Picked up a stag, Gilbert Saville, Prussia,Norfolk Whittler at a local garage sale, today. Handles are perfect. 1895-1914, I think. Master blade has great snap. One small blade missing. The other one is broken but I guess it is still worth a quarter, huh? Have it restored or leave it alone? What do ...

Some more of my junk... An old pair of lead knucks. Belonged to my late Father-in law. An old compass made by Eagle Pencil. Bone handle knife stamped Keene Cutlery. Small blade broken. Back handle looks like front handle. W. Butcher drawshave. An oldie. Too bad about the handles. Old Colonial Hobo. ...
