cant find my lithium grease-tried quick release and teflon oil it did free everything up so I can tell whats wrong with it...weak spring....going back to buck when fixed they are headed to the local flea market..2 nib bucks...they are not as nice as aftermarket conversions I have owned...with a stro...

orvet you are the 2nd person to mention quick release to me...I have quite a few old knives...some need help...will buy some...I think I saw an ad in blade magazine,thank you all.

thank you Mr. DeShivs I have some white lithium grease somewhere...had not thought of design issue...I asked customer service if they had any problems with autos...she said-we have a few bugs to work out because they are new production...why did I sell my old AKC LEVERLETTO must get another...

this post is a little early-have not tried this yet....I called buck they told me to try oil with TEFLON in it...they recently switched oil on the autos...or send it in they will replace/repair...2 month turnaround on repairs at this time...mine is new so they will replace if needed...I MIGHT GET MY...

make that review I don't know what a rewiew is I think I invented a new word….. no-if I cant get the 112 going its headed back to factory...I bought them at a very good price...from bladematrix which is 2nd generation of cecil clark knives in Newport ky. he told me a few years ago he had to order 40...

picked up 110 and 112 autos last week-the 112s arrived the day I called-the 110 worked 2 or three times then stopped opening all the way...the 112 worked fine....I sprayed the 110 with crc-3-36 wiggled blade side to side a little it works fine now-but the 112 after opening 3 or 4 times is doing the ...

a friend and knife dealer at local flea market has a baggie 3/4 of an inch deep with original large and small boker shields-has to be well over a hundred-he will give me what I need....when I ask him where he got them-he smiles and says nothing-he is well connected with smkw for many years...his boy...

bob mayes was big early knife collector and author--Robert mayes-Middlesboro,ky ..published author of several knife books...he told me 95% of knives with USA marking only-(no rectangle or anything else around or in addition to) were made by COLONIAL...

zp4ja-that is the exact knife...I like the way you fixed it....I am going to try that,i have some old wood handle Pakistan knifes that wont sell- and some #4 turkey loads...I stomped the last counterfeit I had in the ground at the local flea market.

I have had the nickname alabama from 87 to today...I am within sight of Cumberland gap tn..I think it may that spring water coming out of a cave-I think I drank bats..t--I have worked in cinti. oh area 23 years...could be that ohio river water....or it could be im no good at sharpening knives...

you can read the whole book in short amount of time but it gives a unique look into knife industry...by a man that lived there all his life and talked to the people that lived it... like the schrade-ixl story...I too have one orange cut. knife...all metal lobster...worn master blade...

bought a copy of Richard Langstons new self published (with help from aapk) book..off ebay.....KNIVES OF THE HUDSON VALLEY....thin but high quality....full of information and manufacturer history covering 160 years...not like other knife books you may have...look up ORANGE CUTLERY in your Goins book...
