Sometimes Google is your friend…
The “H” looks more like a “U” in one of your pics. This makes sense, as “Suomi” is Finnish for Finland…..

I know it as a Prest-O-lite key. Used for opening early gas valves.

Re: Back in the day….
Holler is a great name! We had a Basset Hound named George living across the alley from us. He spent a large part of his day lying in the middle of the laneway. Cars could drive around him but the garbagemen had to stop and lift him to the side. He would sit up and harmonize with police or ambulance...

Back in the day….
This photo came my way today. It may have been posted before but it is still fascinating. The Basset Hound knows it’s being photographed. Most Basset Hounds are too lazy to move.

Jumping back a few posts to my find…. Re: pattern Actually sitting down and reading Levine’s Guide (what a concept ::facepalm:: ) proved the value of having the 4th edition. My knife is described as a swell-centered serpentine or Eureka style cattle knife. The 3 springs make it somewhat special. ::s...

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
It’s a knife that feels good in your hand. I forgot to mention that it has brass liners and half stops.
Closed = 3 & 11/16” Open = 6 & 1/4”
It is remarkably similar to the Henry Sears knife on the right in the photo from Levine’s 4th Ed page 287.

You people find such interesting knives! ::tu:: Here is a Linder & Co cattle knife I picked up for the price of a pint of brew… :D It was suffering from rust, a notched tip, a crescent shaped bone crack at the pile side center pin and general crud everywhere. I liked the heft, triple back spring...

Not from the movie but from the short run TV series Firefly:
"D'Ya Know What The Chain Of Command Is? It's The Chain I Go Get And Beat You With Until You Understand Who's In Ruttin' Command Here." (Ep2)
Merry Christmas knife people!

Re: I am not so smrt….
Thanks.
The great resource that is AAPK has added to what I know about this little knife. It is from 1922-1939 based on the wording of the tang stamp. It may be a model 32140, but shows no sign of a model # stamp.
It sharpened up beautifully and fits in my pocket nicely.

I posted this in Knife Finds of the Day…. But this is a better spot to seek input. Apologies if reposting is a sin. Re: Identify this maker on a tiny puukko?
Too much time searching the web has produced…. Nothing!
The animal is a reindeer and the handle, if bone, is likely reindeer too. It is so small one wonders about its intended use. I like it very much, but can offer little towards its origins.

Re: Identify this maker on a tiny puukko?
The lower word may be Rovaniemi. A city in Lapland, Finland where J. Marttiini knives are made. Other manufacturers may be located there as well. The sheath shape and moose engraving can be found on Marttiini knives as well, but may also be typically Finnish. Cool little moose knife.

Well, to be fairrrr, that’s appropriate. I guess this means I should use it to slice my Canadian bacon, cut my maple syrup pancakes and stir my Tim Horton’s coffee...eh!
Thanks for the responses.

Ulster Scout/Camp Shield ... Hmmm?
I picked up an Ulster over USA Scout/Camp knife a a local thrift shop yesterday. Its shield (on the right) is not the usual eagle emblem.... ::hmm:: ::shrug:: Construction wise it is identical to the Ulster Scout on the left with the exception of the shield and darker Delrin. Any and all information...
