Another Streamline on the bench
I came across this one on the bay and it was reasonably priced so I picked it up. It’s got really nice blades, great snap and the liners are still useable (much to my surprise!). I peeled the handles off and gave it a quick cleaning to remove any residue. Now I’ll have to decide what to use for hand...

Western 742D Stockman Knife with Jigged Bone
This is the cousin to the 742 that I posted a few days ago. The only difference I can see between the 742 and 742D is the polished blades. There was also an extra spacer liner on the 742D that I assume was put in to minimize main blade rub. This one still ended up with some slight blade rub on the s...

Western 742 Stockman with Smooth Dark Brown Bone
I had two of these on the bench, a 742 and a 742d. This is the 742 with smooth dark brown bone handles. I’m not sure what the “d” designation is for, it seem like the knives are very similar. The 742d has polished blades but otherwise looks like the same knife. The bone color on this one is really n...

Anyone Here Using Godaddy Web Hosting
I’ve had my websites on a couple of different web hosting servers over the years. Most offer great one year rates but the price goes up substantially after that first year. I’ve been looking at Godaddys web hosting and the prices are certainly competitive but the reviews for their hosting are all ov...

Short Line Camillus 23 with Buckeye Burl Handles
This was an old used and abused Camillus 23 but since its a short line model it was worth saving. I installed some nice stabilized, dyed, buckeye burl wood handles and inlayed a new custom handle shield, then gave it a cleaning and polishing. She turned out pretty good.

1950s knife with a late-model sawblade inserted, with a "hook disgorger" cut into the tip? This blade is a saw blade, not a fish scaler? Any thoughts? If there were better pic's of this blade I might change my mind. https://www.ebay.com/itm/285536995671?hash=item427b54c957:g:aQIAAOSw5rNlP...

This 225ot came with the saw blade. I’ve done a few customs with the saw blades and they turned out nice.

Schrade 225OT Son of a Gun
I installed a new knife blade, a new saw blade, a set of tri-color (Choc/Brn/Red) Richlite handles and a new custom stainless steel shield insert. The tri-color Richlite is a little bit different but I kinda like it!

Schrade 25OT with Dyed Camel Bone Handles
I added two new blades that were hand polished to approximately a 600 grit finish. Then I dyed some smooth camel bone slabs with Fiebings black dye. Once it was cleaned and polished it looked pretty good. It started out looking like this: 2023003.jpg And ended up like this: 2023003_1.JPG 2023003_2.J...

Short Line Camillus #9
I don't know why Im attracted to these grand daddy Barlows, they're not a very practical knife but for some reason I seem to be drawn to them. This one is a short line version. I just did a mild cleanup and replaced the badly worn handles with some smooth sunset bone from Culpepper. I left the blade...

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
A different Camillus Streamline. I normally try to buy the Camillus Streamlines when decent ones become available. Since the vast majority of them are severely damaged by celluloid outgassing, it's nice to save them when they become available.I have three or four of the standard Streamine models tha...
