Re: my retirement knife
appreciate the advice, but this knife is reserved for retirement.
I won't carry it till retirement and if I can't carry it on the beach with my wife
then I don't want to carry it.

my retirement knife
Finally found one of these at a decent price. This is reserved for retirement in about 5 or 6 years when my wife and I move to Eastern North Carolina. We have a house near Plymouth but gonna move their soon... hopefully. All I can think about is walking on the beach with my wife looking for seashell...

Broke the tip off a small Imperial Frontier stockman playing mumblypeg when I was in grade school. ::dang:: It was my best knife at the time and I only had 3. Arced a VIC Safari Pathfinder cleaning the battery terminals on my old truck in high school. ::facepalm:: Luckily it got the spines of the bl...

Re: You might be a knifenut if...
If you look in the mirror in the church foyer and notice one sideburn too long, then use a pocket knife to trim it... right then and there. If you carry a beater knife so you don't mess up your good beater knife. If you ship knives to your work to avoid "the look" from the wife. (Only part...

Re: Craftsman Folding Knife
Howdy,
Actually, Sears didn't make knives themselves.
They had knives made by Schrade, Camillus, Imperial, Ulster and others.
Yours is a nice example of a Camillus made knife with delrin handles in a patern called staglon.
Not sure what years this model was made but I bought one like it in mid-90's.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
JUST got this in the mail earlier. I've seen these go in worse shape for a LOT more than what I gave for this one. I've always liked scout/campers, had a Kamp King when I was a kid, but just never really got into them. I prefer a nice SAK. If it were anything but a Schrade-made I would have passed.....

Re: Craftsman 9555
Apologies, I don't have the knife in-hand yet. It is a 5 blade scout pattern with a saw. From what I could dig up they were made by Schrade Walden about 1967. That doesn't necessarily mean "made in schrade factory" though. Just hoping someone could answer deffinitively about swinden key. F...

Can anyone tell me if the Craftsman 9555 knives were made with swinden key construction?
Thanks much
