Re: Knife resource books...
I tried replying to your PM twice, but they are still showing as being in my outbox and not in my sent folder. I don't know what the deal is. Send me another PM with your address so I know where to send the book and how much to charge for shipping.orvet wrote:PM inbound.

Re: Knife resource books...
I've been on the hunt for a 4th edition of Levine's Guide to Knives. Fairly pricey for beat up used copies at around $112 and for very good condition, the price is $165. Any advice on where to find these elsewhere? or... any other great knife resource books? Thanks! I'm selling my copy for $75 +shi...

Great idea Mr S. Threaten negative feedback to receive free goods. I'm going to try that on my next purchase. ::handshake:: No, no, no, no no... That was not my point. I am completely opposed to the idea of manipulating people in order to get things without paying for them. Please don't attempt tha...

Re: Knife resource books...
We've been discussing the importance of shipping knives properly in another thread , and now a little story about the importance of shipping books properly. I found a good copy of "Levine's Guide to Knives and Their Values (4th Edition)" on eBay for $40. I received it today and it had been...

Re: Knife shipping question
As a contrast, I just received my order of a one ounce bottle of quick release oil from Latama Cutlery ( https://latama.net/pages/quick-release-oil ). It came in a new cardboard box, padded on all sides with paper padding and was inside of a black faux-velvet drawstring pouch and included a business...

Re: Knife shipping question
Some sellers are not knife people. ::facepalm:: Plain and simple! they just don't get it! I think some people are just plain stupid and inconsiderate. It shouldn't have anything to do with being a knife person. I don't have children, but I know better than to strap them to the roof of a car. I'm no...

Re: Knife shipping question
I prefer as others have also said that a private message is best when the knife is not shipped as expected and not dinging someone - especially the many who have no clue in selling knives. However if I hear "flack" back from them I put them on the list of sellers to never buy from again.....

Re: Knife shipping question
I thought it was a pretty lazy way of shipping and I would never ship something like that. I'll have to make sure to request a box when I buy from ebay sellers from now on. Perhaps a polite negative feedback will change this fellow's shipping method.

Knife shipping question
I wasn't sure where to post this, so I thought I would post it in a general section. I just received an old Camillus Cub Scout slipjoint knife I purchased on eBay and it came wrapped in two thin pieces of paper and dropped in a 6x9 envelope. Is this a typical way that knife sellers ship knives? It c...

Re: The Complete Book of Pocketknife Repair: A Cutler's Manual
Just bought this otherwise difficult to find tome. Less than $10 for Kindle. I run the Kindle for Mac application. One online source which had the out of print book wanted $98. I just got lucky and found a paperback copy on ebay for $10 and he dropped the shipping price down to $14 from England. $2...

Re: Hello from Michigan
Are you looking for the exact knife from your father or one to replace it with? If you are trying to replace it with another just like it, do you remember what style it was or how many blades it had? Imperials generally aren't an expensive knife, and they made some really good knives early on. They...

Hello from Michigan
Hello, My name is Mr. Stafford and I am from S.E. Michigan. I have always loved the different types of traditional knives. As a boy, I coveted almost every one I saw being used and carried by the men around me; my grandfather, my father, my teachers, my scout leaders. One of the most exciting moment...
