This GEC 56 with micarta handles is a great user knife with a thinly ground main blade that takes a keen edge with minimal sharpening effort. The Schrade stockman with white bone is a recent pick up, china made I suspect but I have no complaints about the smooth blade action and snap.

A couple with Winchester trademarks, made in the USA: #3902 Whittler with carbon & bone, made in 1990 & #W 20 19021 Workman Series Toothpick with SS & Delrin. I suspect Queen made the Whittler. No clue who made the Toothpick. Classy looking pair geo. ::tu:: ::tu:: Case 6383 again today....

I have no insight to offer as to how the different bones come out like they do when dyed but the camel bone, and especially the giraffe are quite unique when compared to cattle bone. Here are my only two examples; 1st pic is camel 2nd & 3rd pics are giraffe

Sunknife, that very pretty rosewood just gave me an idea. ::idea:: I’d love to have a rosewood knife with wires crossing it to make it look like a miniature fretboard. Throw in the MOP dots too. I bet our guitar, banjo and uke players would snap that up! Hmmm, I wonder if it’s out there? That would...

This came yesterday, picked it up this morning. Another Camillus 1047 Scouting knife. My third Camillus 1047 with this style of shield. It does look like the third time is the charm, as this is the nicest Camillus 1047 (with a federal shaped shield) that I've bought (so far). Nothing wrong with the...
