Re: Cannon anchor knife set
They certainly have a nice look to 'em, and for the price I'm going to go pick up a set. I'm gonna go check the Bay and see what i can find. As for the china stuff, there is a whole lot of pure, ugly, crap out there for sure, but in recent years the quality produced by some companies has greatly dif...

Re: Case xx 6217
I was thinking about buying it, apparently someone had the same idea and beat me to it. It went fast on the buy it now option, I didn't expect it to go so fast. Probably kind of rare, no? To go that fast for $82.50? Does anyone else have one of these styles of Case xx knives? Does anyone know that s...

Case xx 6217
I was wondering about this knife and how rare it might be? Do you think $100 is a fair price ? It is the first one I have seen on eBay recently so I haven’t had anything to compare it to. Here’s a few photos of it .

Re: Identification help
Yes, I double checked Charlie, it's GK Co. , capital GK ,space, capital C small o. Just like the stamp I saw on the knives at the site Doc referred me to. I'm a bit baffled. GK Co. is Nepal based, and makes Gurkha or Kukris by what I have seen. The large, fixed blade machete type fighting knives. I d...

Re: Identification help
Yeah Doc, that seems to be it, but the knife I’m inquiring about is a vintage looking folder. Looks like the Napalese GK Co. makes kukris exclusively. I will try to add a photo of it . Thanks doc

Re: Cattaraugus 22784?
Yes, Joe, that's what I was thinking, but I didn't want to call it that until I was sure. They seemed to look like the rings inside a tree when they've been cut. To me, its one of the nicest looking celluloid's I have seen, along with the Christmas tree celluloid. This one here is nicely done and ha...

Cattaraugus 22784?
Just wondering if I got the number right, they’re pretty worn. Also does anyone know what year it may be and what those scales are called, they’re absolutely stunning. Wondering why they didn’t use them more often. Thanks!

Does anyone know the maker of this MOP?
It seems very well made and the MOP scales have a lot of colors that I can't capture with photos. It is the first knife I have seen with a grooming tool placed under the springs, which I thought was pretty cool. It came in the small leather pouch. The only marks I found were INOXYD. Anyone know the ...

Case "Greenbone"
Can someone shed some light on this for me, I have seen older case knives, many of the tested era, advertised as Greenbone.
The thing is some look black, some look like a brownish red, and others look brown. None look green to me. Is it named after a person named Green?
Just wonderin' Thanks!

Re: Rigging Knives
Thanks, Mike. And by the way, Clint is my favorite, hands down. I don't want to say, favorite actor, because I don't care for those Hollywood people at all, to me, he is much different. He proved that by recently publically denouncing the Hollywood group as molesters and pedophiles and was clearly a...

Can anyone ID this old barehead jack
I think that's the correct name of s style? If not, can someone tell me the proper name? I have only a mag glass that I think is 10x. I can barely see a name on the tang, the faint outline I see doesn't seem familiar, I was hoping you guys could help me with the name of the maker and the approximate...

Re: Rigging Knives
This is the one I was talking about when I asked about the second blade. 20180604_204007.jpg So it is a can opener? Heck of a large one, no? On this blade, at the point where the nail nick side and sharpened cutting side come together, it is sharpened, like what you would see on a wood carving tool,...

Riggers knife
I have had a few Riggers knives pass through my hands over the years, some with 1 blade plus the spike, some with a second blade that looks like a large can opener. I'm pretty sure it's not a can opener though. I'm thinking it has something to do with shaving or splicing a line. Does anyone know the...
