Re: Puli Knives ?
Thanks for your replies Guys , and I would agree that there are some quality knives being produced by our friends in Eastern Europe especially Hungary for some reason . I also believe that the Puli dog originates from Hungary . Anyway those Puli stag horn knives look like decent quality by the photo...

Re: Traditionalist and True
Hello Guys , It is sad to hear that the changes that I see here on a daily basis are also happening in the US , AND YOURE BOTH RIGHT , NOT FOR THE BETTER ! I was under the impression that Patriotism was still a proud flag to wave over there and that Buck knives was an integral part of that same patr...

Traditionalist and True
I just thought I would like to write my thoughts on the iconic Buck 110 and 112 from the point of view of a non American . Obviously as we all know , the Buck 110 and to a slightly lesser degree the Buck 112 Ranger are an iconic and integral part of American society and rightly so as the company was...

Re: How to fill Camel Bone scales ?
Hello both Eric and David , thanks for your replies , and my answer is kind of yes to both of you , I will be sanding th e back down slightly thus reducing the area that needs filling and there should be enough flat area to adhere to the liners , and I will use a little putty filler for the rest and...

How to fill Camel Bone scales ?
Hello All , Just thought I would put this problem on the Buck forum . I have a nice set of Camel Bone scales which I hope to rescale a Buck 110 with , I am adding 1mm thick liners before fixing the scales . The problem is on the back of the camel bone scales , they are not perfectly flat but have so...

Replacement scales for Buck Ranger 112
Hello All , I am a collector of folding pocket knives and have a Buck Ranger 112 that I have removed the original scalesfrom with the intention of replacing them with something a bit more quality , buffalo horn , bone or whatever . I would like to know is there any source in the UK where i can buy r...

Re: Show off your chipped flints
Just love the chipped flint blades especially on 110s / 112s and 113s , they seem to belong there , unfortunately as usual here in the UK there does not seem to be a facility or outlet to purchase these knives , only basic models and I cant see why buck does not offer the option of customised knives...

Re: Jimping a 110
Hi eveled ,
If I used a mini file for this , how easy do you think it would be ? I would really like to try it on my 112 but I am cautious not having tried it before as to achieving a straight file cut !

Re: My slant on the 113 Ranger Skinner
Nice touch Kossetx regarding using that particular oak wood as it makes it really personal . jerryd6818 , totally agree with your view of the 113 , as it is pleasing on the eye and although it is small for really big game it would I imagine be an excellent tool for smaller game skinning . Done lots ...

Re: My slant on the 113 Ranger Skinner
Totally agree with your comments " Old Hunter " in that I can imagine the small handle would be quite tiring after a while . Is it worth soaking your sheath in warm water for 15 minutes or so , putting your 113 back into the sheath and then trying to remold it back slightly around the knif...

I know there have been many reviews on most of the Buck knives at one time or another , but Just to put my ten penneth in here goes . I recently bought a 112 Ranger , then a few days ago I received a 113 Ranger Skinner from an AAPK Forum member to complement it . My plan is to re scale both knives w...
