Another great bunch Kknut, fun to browse through.
One thing I try to aquire more of is old bone. Love the aged look and lost jigging techniques of the past. Here's a small example of some.

Re: The 2024 Oregon Knife Collectors Association Show
Thank ya much Glennbad, appreciate it. I have 3 of his GEC mods and one of his production run Reate made Beer Busters. All first rate knives. The beer Buster he designed but was made in China by Reate. When it came the blade rap was clear around the curve of the edge. Worst I've ever seen. C. Risber...

Nice 3 wwalker, that will cover it all. To my eye was surprised the Case Stockman looks so small next to the SAK? What pattern would that be? Thanks.
Bomba, great pair, bones, pictures.
Feeling old school today, so it's Schrade Cut Co and Robeson Suredge Rochester.

Re: BONES BONES BONES
GEC 48 burnt orange bone and what looks like copy of winterbottom jigging maybe. Beauty! ::drool:: Looks a lot like Winterbottom to me too. GEC used a similar type of bone on a 2018 #99 Wall Street release that they called Springfield Orange Bone IIRC. Beautiful knife, that bone indeed looks simila...

Re: The 2024 Oregon Knife Collectors Association Show
Thanks Q, danno, wlf, kaddict, appreciate it. Q, here are a few more to drool on. It looks to me like GECs closest approximation of winterbottom jigging. And a I like the burnt orange. Also you can barely read on the tube cap "hook removed." Evan Nicolaides, or ESNYX did a blade delete. Us...

Re: Ornithology (Bird) Thread
I've had a bird coming to feed for the last week or so but I have been unable to get a picture of it. It's very skittish and even the juncos seem to scare it away. I was finally able to get a picture of it today. I believe it's a western meadowlark, Oregon's state bird. Dale, I think you have a Var...

Nice additional pics danno, great to see more.
Another show knife from Barry at Gunstock Jacks table. #13 congress, or half congress, the Clerk they call it. Love the antler and a single spring with two blades on opposite ends. Also the fluted bolsters and long pull. Thanks again Barry.

Re: The 2024 Oregon Knife Collectors Association Show
Ivoryman, I believe those liners are probably nickel silver, same metal as the bolsters. Notice the difference in the color compared to the springs which are most likely carbon steel. ::hmm:: (I have a 1970 Case Trapper, stainless blades, that has a carbon spring and a stainless spring. Took me a w...

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Recently hunted cattle knives as the pattern sucked me in... Seems like these three blades will do all I need. I just picked up a Keen Kutter Cattleman about a week or two ago, a good EDC, the main blade has some wear on it, the bone was the seller that sealed the deal. ... ::hmm:: Yeah, Something ...
