Re: We read the knife, so let’s read the photo

Ken, Thank you for the great history lesson on Platts. That family certainly influenced our love of old pocketknives. I find it very interesting that Mr Platts returned to his beloved Northfield to be buried. I personally visited his gravesite and placed an original Platts knife on his tombstone. I ...

We read the knife, so let’s read the photo

So here’s my read. First, you can't miss a young Mr. Platt’s and his famous mustache standing in the back row. I ...

The color-changing knives were originally for performers I did an in-depth article in Knife World on these and even learned the right way to perform the trick. Kids love it.

Galvanic has an awesome collection. I’d go so far as to say one of the best in the country. I’m proud to call him a friend and love seeing his knives. I hope to have some new ones to post in the near future. Yes folks there still out there.

I’m guilty of reviving this thread as I love going through it now and then. Pennsylvania has such a glorious cutlery past
I still get excited when I find that little “PA” under the rust. If you have something old and PA , let’s see it

Re: Goodness from PA

Hi everyone I'm still fighting a cancer diagnosis from two years ago. I try to keep up here, so thank you for not forgetting me. As for this wonderful knife, remember that many knives are not made by the name in the stamp. This is a classic case of a hardware house knife. Bernard Levine gave me grea...

If you have one of the two books that I wrote on GEC or Tidioute, id glad to sign it for you. I am bringing some very old knives to sell or trade....

Re: Vintage Remington Pearl ladies knife and pouch

Lyle, That is a thing of beauty. Nice to have the handles intact like that. I credit you with your diligence in searching them out. Oh I am still around, but some events have kinda tarnished my involvement with knives, so I kinda just keep to myself in that realm. Moderators, please remove my sale p...
