Thanks, now I have two drop point #112's, this one and an original #112 Ranger with S30v drop point and ebony handles, (slanted bolsters too).

Re: Whats your newest addition to your Buck family and why?

Not a custom or anything fancy, but this newly arrived #112 Slim Select was a Copper + Clad exclusive, only sold in their catalog, (that's why they are "exclusive"). Notice anything different? Yup, it's a drop point, but still has the same handle material and the same very functional pocke...

The little 41C is a user ,little wear on main ,but it’ll get used. You did do good, I can't see every listing, (though I wish I could), s...

Couple more, a #333 California Toothpick SFO that I recently got for a song, (relative to other #333's I have), and a 2020 #119 which I wanted just "because", (it's so "stock" it will probably become a user). The locally owned hardware store here had a 20% off everything sale tod...

Re: Whats your newest addition to your Buck family and why?

Syd, that's a good deal, especially two for the price of one. Since both the smooth and spiral awls are carbon steel instead of stainless, it can take a lot of looking to find one that's perfect. Always good to hear from you Bert, and yes it was definitely fortunate happenstance for me this time. I...

On another subject. It's always a long story with me, so here goes again. In my eternal quest for Buck 300 Series "versions", here is something I had heard about for years but never saw, even in a photo. I checked every #319 I saw on ebay for those multiple years, finally bought a "no...

Re: Whats your newest addition to your Buck family and why?

Hey Syd, I believe you made a typo on the Buck 821. That knife is actually the 891 GCK (Ground Combat Knife). That knife came out last year, so it's not new for Buck this year. I have the same one you have, and it's a beast of a knife. One of the best tactical knives Buck has produced...and they're...

Re: Whats your newest addition to your Buck family and why?

Nothing especially special, just a "stock" 2011 #302. I have every other model of the 300 Series, (several spares of each also), but started out only collecting Camillus-made 300's made between 1966- 1986, (yes I know the first 4-5 years were made by Schrade), and all the Camillus-made SF...

Re: Whats your newest addition to your Buck family and why?

BayKeeper, Those are two GREAT additions that are hard to come by. Glad you were able to find them and pick them up. ::tu:: Back in February 2019, I had the opportunity to snatch up a Custom Buck 111 folder, 1 of 250, w/Serial # 111, (0111LM/SSP1-R) 05/13/2008 for $155.00. I got lucky on that one. ...

Re: Whats your newest addition to your Buck family and why?

Quite a new addition(s) today. I missed getting a Buck #101 Hunter fixed blade, other than the #101 Fixed Blade BCCI Club Knife with Carbon Fiber Swirl Handles and S30V steel I have, but I wanted a "user" version. I emailed Buck and asked whether they were going to make any more #101's or ...

Re: Whats your newest addition to your Buck family and why?

The best way to determine a knife's value, is to do a "Completed Listings" search on ebay. Just search the model you want to investigate, then when results come up scroll down to the bottom left side of that page to a small box that says "completed listings" and click on that. R...

Re: Whats your newest addition to your Buck family and why?

Nothing fancy or custom, but the hits just keep coming anyway. 1993 #813 Workman, (daughter's birth year), that came with a Maglite double sheath, which fits this knife or even a #110, so that's cool. Also a 2014, (grandson's birth year), #501 in original sheath. Both knives are pristine and seeming...
