These are from my photo files and not mine. But I do have the Stallion knife in just the box.
The other scrimshaw LB1 knives are tang stamped SC511. Curious why this one is different?

Re: Schrade 61OT unusual shield
Good stuff. I have a digital collection of knives I don't own or no longer own, as well. I do still have this one. rb1.jpgrb7.jpgrb9.jpg That's a very nice set you have! I used to have a few of the red bone Heritage knives, but not any that have the shield we're talking about. And not a full set. J...

Re: Schrade 61OT unusual shield
Very nice group shown; thanks! I neglected to post my usual disclaimer and mention that I don't own any of the knives I posted. They are just from hundreds of photo files I have saved on my laptop. Although, I did remember this one that I own after I posted the others. It appears to be an "unf...

Re: Schrade 61OT unusual shield
I agree that it looks like a replacement shield. Just so you know, those shields were used on the "Complimentary" knives handed out by Schrade to lucky individuals. And they were used on other limited editions, Like the Old Timer Classics. Below are some examples. I didn't find a 61OT Comp...

Re: Need help with a Schrade tang stamp
I count at least 4 different tang stamps for the 285UH. Not counting the limited editions with LTD or HERTAGE stamped on the tang. Or Craftsman knives. Of coarse they start with a small number of SCHRADE WALDEN stamps. Then in 1973 when the name changed, they went with just SCHRADE and variations th...

I have heard of the Lunker, but that's the first one I've seen. Thanks for posting it.

The stag on yours is done better than any of the ones I saw on ebay. Better that you got a sheath too.

Re: When was this made ?
This is what a genuine Schrade LB7 with stag looks like. This is a factory made knife that I bought back in '06 or '07. It's a LB7ES, as printed on the end of the box. I haven't seen hardly any of these. Much like the 5OT-ES factory stag knives. If you are thinking of getting that knife you are cons...

Re: When was this made ?
HA! My dumb ass. I finally thought to look on ebay. I can't say how accurate the info is on this listing. I know those certificates of authenticity are not so "authentic" themselves. But this listing is something to consider. https://www.ebay.com/itm/204216563334?hash=item2f8c417686:g:rTcA...

Re: When was this made ?
I figured out what it is. It's a Federal Duck Stamp Commemorative. I couldn't find out what year it is though. I knew I'd seen that squiggly line border before and I did a web search till I found it. I couldn't find a knife like yours. There are many and most are smaller folding knives and a few fix...

I managed to pick up these two a couple of years after this thread started. The pictures aren't great. They are from the Ebay listings. And you might like to see the Herman Williams customized H050 on the bottom. (not mine)

Re: LB5 and the like
I had one of the LB7’s custom. I regret selling it. I do have an LB5 with a Damascus blade. An old friend who worked at Schrade for many years showed me a finished LB7 with a Damascus blade and a few extra blades. The knife never went into any kind of production but it was really cool to see it. I ...

Re: LB5 and the like
As close as you can get to those and the ones tongueriver mentioned is the LB2 Lil' Bear and the LB4. Both in very limited numbers. Then there are the 3rd Generation knives. But this is getting a little off track from your question. Footnotes are from the Schrade Reference Guide, found at the top of...

391.jpg393.jpg395.jpg397.jpg398.jpg My first effort at posting here at AAPK. Re: Schrade 298?
I don't remember where I found these pictures, But I seem to remember that the guys who own these knives believed that the scales on them came from the factory when new. I've never seen or heard any information about the 298 until now. Are these un-altered, factory fresh knives? Edit; LOL! I never n...

Re: SCHRADE LB7 4 PIN STAGLON?
I've always been confused by this picture which shows a 4 pin knife with an LB7 blade and paperwork. It's a little fuzzy, but the paperwork does say LB7. I always thought that would be a real nice rare collectable. I thought I'd throw this out there to mess with your heads some more. lol

One that I have before they went to that extra marketing. This one is obviously used. Bone, with two different stainless stamps on two different blades. Re: Is this knife legit?
I am reasonably certain these have been made for Taylor by Utica, in two or three colors of bone. I believe Utica also has sold them with their own stamping. Look familiar? YIKES!! $140?? Why would anyone pay that much for that thing? I payed $44 and $50 for my genuine Schrade Cigar Box Classic tra...
