Schrade knife boxes
Morning all,
Quick question. Anyone know what the first boxes Schrade used for the Old Timer line?
I have seen the brown boxes, the cream/white and the blue and white.
I was thinking the brown boxes were the oldest, but an not sure.
Thank you. Hope you and yours are well.

Re: Found an interesting Buck 303
Railsplitter,
Thank you for the post. I think it is just shadow in my picture. I breathed on bolsters and cannot see any sign of pin in bolster.
I will try later to get better pictures.
Thanks

Re: Found an interesting Buck 303
Not 100% sure, but I have only seen the 301's with all blades marked. I thought maybe there were 303's stamped the same way, but I had not seen one before. I know 301's started first, made by Schrade and they had grooved bolsters.. really cool. I like the size of the 303's myself so I was excited to...

That's insane..
But to each their own I suppose.
Nothing wrong with making a little bit, but I don't believe in gouging.
My opinion

Re: Camco rocket whistle knife
1967redrider,
I do have some. They are all unused, but cannot get any to whistle when I swing them with the lanyard. I have not swung them to aggressively as they all have original lanyards. They will whistle by blowing on the end.
Maybe a drop of oil, but have not tried that.
Hope this helps.

Re: Camco rocket whistle knife
Kj, my dad was a huge train buff. He had a whole country side set up in our basement and he ran the tracks winding through the trees, in through a tunnel, around and back to the station. It was awesome. He and momma are from Upstate New York near Cooperstown. He was WWII and Vietnam Vet. US AirForce...

Re: Camco rocket whistle knife
I did swing mine around. Lanyards are pretty sturdy. No whistle, but if you blow in it it sure does. I am thinking the lanyard was maybe just to give it the rocket effect instead of getting the whistle to sing.
Might part with them, or at least one.. blades are good and tight.
