Re: Sharpening question
To the OP. Did your Lansky come with the diamond stones? I have a kit with the regular stones and one with the diamonds. The diamonds do a much better and faster job. I can’t recommend the extra corse diamond enough. It will put a edge on an extremely dull knife in a hurry. It’s also great for creat...

Re: Weed & Co. Knife / Looking for input & opinions
“First Run” is no excuse for the kind of fit and finish. If there going to turn out that kind of quality, as Ken said it should be priced accordingly. And they were pricing them right along with GEC ::facepalm:: I wish them all the best as a company, but after putting products out like this ::shrug:...

Re: coke bottle 71050L SAB
So, back to my original post. It seems from what I can tell, this is a fake and an infringement on Case XX knives. I wonder that Case did not "go after them". The value of my knife is less than I thought and less than what I paid? It's not fake, it just was not made by Case. It was made b...

Re: Jigged Bone and Hafting
I am with you guys. Jigging all the way to the bolster. Let it be complete. Does hafting to the bolster make it easier ( less time spent) for the manufacturer? Regardless, should not be done. Bob I don’t think it takes less time, in fact it probably takes more. What I’ve noticed is thicker bone is ...

Jigged Bone and Hafting
Who else likes there jigging to go all the way or at least near the bolsters? Maybe it's just me, but knives that have half there jigging hafted away is just a turn off to me What's yall's opinion?
Couple pics for reference.

Knife looks suspect to me. Especially the stamp Solingen stainless 440, this is not a stamp I've ever seen used on H&R.

Found this at a little antique show today. Was surprised to find it. It’s in pretty nice shape. Shows it’s age but nice. All blades and utensils snap open and closed excellent. Bone is nice with no cracks. Takes apart easily and fits back nice. Pretty sure it’s prewar. Would like to hear any comment...

Don't know a lot about Gerber, But looks to be a very early one. And looks to be made from a power hacksaw blade which I've heard is what the early ones were made from.

That shield is way too big for that knife maybe it’s gold hence the price . GEC prices have gotten a lot of people’s attention.1967redrider wrote: ↑Thu Feb 10, 2022 4:09 pm I could understand maybe half this price, from Cutlery Corner-

Re: Secondary Market Prices
If you bought Bitcoin when it sold for $1 and then sold it when it got to $60,000, you don't mind paying $900 for a $150 knife. Easy come, easy go. But if you work for $30-$40 per hour then you value your money such that $900 for a $150 knife is a dumb move. The internet has allowed a few people to...

I posted in the counterfeit forum a few weeks ago about a knife like this one. Seems there's a few floating around now. Defiantly a Pakistan knife with Eye stamps added. Schlieper never made anything close to this. Looks like somebody got a new toy for Christmas (pantograph) and is trying there hand...
