Many thanks, gentlemen. I'll pass this information on to my BIL. Always nice to know some of the details and a bit of history about knives with sentimental value for being associated with a loved one. You folks are da best!

Re: SHOW US YOUR PETS!!!
Mr. Boogs is a semi-feral cat that has marked my yard as his territorial hunting ground with frequent fragrant sprayings all around the boundary. I don't mind him as he has a pretty mellow temperament and keeps the rodent population under control and other, more ferocious, feral cats at bay.

Re: Knife Photography
My sweet Lehua and the Bulldog Barlow that I keep in her memory. The colors of the acrylic handle are a nearly perfect match to her coloration and the deeply curved clip blade reminiscent of her upright, pointed ears.

Re: Barlows does anyone else love them
👍🤝👍 John, your Case Beagle Barlow photo is fabulous! Inspired me to take this one of my dearly departed Lehua (RIP, 2017) with a Bulldog Brand Barlow that reminds me of her. Man, how I loved that dog; more than just about any other living creature I've ever known (not counting my wife of course ::p...

Re: Camillus Knife Year & Pattern Name/Number
Mahalo JP...I appreciate the research and feedback. I'm not familiar with "cabone" whether actual bone or synthetic, but the handle on this knife show some shrinkage which looks like a synthetic material to me. Also, I'm pretty sure the blade is a spear not a clip based on the angle of the...

Re: Knife Photography
Mahalo, Floyd, but the real question is do I have enough Knice knives and how many pictures of them can I post before everyone gets sick and tired of seeing them? Alas, wo is me for the tragic path of a hapless knife collector o'er which I trod.

Got this Wild Turkey 4150 but my fingers won't let it stay in my pocket for some reason.

Parker-IMAI K295 "TyrannoRatcliffe Rex" Lansky1 mod. I'm not a fan of the bone stag handle but this beast is built like a tank. Single back spring but I've never seen so many brass liners on one knife. It also snaps like a gator....or a T. Rex!

That's all well and good, Marco, but if you disappear entirely on us again don't be surprised if I fly to Canada myself and break down your door because you failed to comment on one of my hundreds of mini trapper posts! You can run but you can't hide.

Re: Collections, Sub-Collections and Family Group Photos
Ray, I think I may have asked you this previously a long time ago (and based on subtle clues evident in this thread I think I already know the answer), but do you ever sell any of your knives?

Hey John! Glad to see you're still wandering the woods and trails with your fine cutlery.
I see great minds think alike and we still share similar taste when it comes to new Case cutlery colors

Re: Lets see some stag
H.M. Slater Venture Sheffield Wooooowwwww!!! I love stag like that. Gorgeous. ::tu:: Reminded me of this Case Wharncliffe Copperlock that Glenbad rehandled for me around the time I first joined AAPK. Going on ten years and my love for this knife (and Glenn too!) has only grown stronger :D I'm sure ...

Re: Side to Side Blade Movement on Custom LB when closed
Thanks for that, Dale. I understand what you mean about working on a custom knife...unfortunately, the maker of this knife (and former AAPK member), Michael Fisher, passed away recently so that option is no longer available. Anyway, I was mostly just curious about what would cause the blade to have ...

Re: Side to Side Blade Movement on Custom LB when closed
The first thought that comes to my mind is it may be a worn pivot pin, or an undersized pivot pin. The knife doesn't look as though it's been used enough to have a worn pivot pin, but that's difficult to tell from the pictures. I doubt the pivot pin is worn since I bought it new, but undersized mak...

Side to Side Blade Movement on Custom LB when closed
I suspect this Michael Fisher custom bullet end lock back may be one of his earlier builds. It's a cool little knife and I love it but it lacks a certain sophistication in the fit and finish commonly seen in his later work after he had gained more experience. IMG_E1161.JPG The one thing that I'm cur...

Camillus Knife Year & Pattern Name/Number
About 20 years ago my brother in law's father passed away and my BIL acquired his father's old Camillus that he had carried and used for many years. My 65 yr old BIL says he could not remember his father ever not having it on him. He was wondering if I could tell him anything about it, specifically ...

OK wood experts...can you identify the different types of wood used on these Queen mini trappers just by looking at this photo?
