Re: At last! A whittler to EDC........

If the knife has a bone handle, like this one does, it was made by Queen.

I think that Queen might be making those. I want to say that if you look at the photos of the factory workers in the current Queen catalog, you will see a glimpse of one of those. I will look later.

The knife is made by Utica Cutlery.

Re: A couple of Moore Makers

I own a bunch of knives but only two Moore Makers. One is an Even Ended Smooth Bone Trapper #5203 with 1095 Steel. The other is isn't labeled on the box except Model 2305 BUFHORN W/PUNCH. I bought them both recently from Bill Horn and he told me that Moore Maker knives are in short supply even from...

Re: moremaker knifes ?

cbnutt the Moore Maker knives are a well made quality knife. Moore Maker doesn't make knives, they have then made buy other US cutlery companies. The higher end Moore Maker knives are made by Queen Cutlery I believe, and the lower economy made Moore Maker knives were produced by Camillus until Cami...

Re: Alabama-made Knives

Moore Maker out of Matador Texas sells a lot of good ranching tools including pocket knives. It is my understanding that Queen makes most of their more expensive knives and that Camillus made the lower end. With the unfortunate demise of Camillus in 2007, Moore Maker had to find a new supplier, and...

Re: Bear & Son!~ your opinion and photos

You asked "I would like to know how many others have the brand and what you think of it?" I have had a poor liking for Bear & Son. This was the time that Schrade went south. To me they did not have the quality of the old Schrades. Perhaps now that other USA knife companies have gone C...

Re: IF YOU HATE CHINA KNIVES THIS IS FOR YOU!!!

The video is hillarious but sadly true. This country has been ruined by corporate greed and the corporate world's bought and paid for politicians. We have in the process enriched a Communist country that is using our money spent at Big Box Mart to build up its military to kill us. And nobody cares--...

Bear & Son is a decent knife for the money. I have two and they are well made. Some knife purists may find fault with them but their products perform well and they are made in the USA.

Re: German knives cost less.

4. I like Moore Maker knives. They are based in Texas, my home state. But they are a smaller, "niche" knife maker, catering to the working cowboy market. Because they are smaller they have higher per-piece production costs than most assembly-line produced cutlery from other countries. But...

Are they deep scratches? I doubt there's any way to remove scratches from a knife although a professional restorer might very well be able to do the job. I've tried several methods on a particularly scratched knife of mine and none of them seem to work. Erik No, they seem to be light ----probably f...

Re: What's your user or carry knife?

I'd be extremely interested to know what others on this board like to carry and use. For myself, I've got three knives that get used and carried regularly. I'm a corporate manager, so I don't really have need of a knife at work, except to open Fedex packages and so on. However, since I've got the d...

I have bought a few from them. I only buy the cv and I am well pleased with them. I really would like to see an older Case to compare the quality. I've bid on a few on e-bay but you know the story--anything old and in decent condition sells for big money.

I don't have any trouble with the Case knives produced today, but I don't have any older ones to compare them to. The German knives such as Eye Brand are top quality but I prefer to buy USA. I am very impressed by the knives made by Mooremaker and they are a great outfit to do business with.
