They pre date the Remington bullet. The same German makers who made the Buffalo Jumbo trapper evidently left Utica and went to Remington. Thanks Roger, do you think these type knives were the first Jumbo Trappers? I know that they predate Remington Bullets but made by the same knife maker.

I think your close. Mine must be older than that. The last date is 1901. The tang stamp says John Watts Sheffield ESTD 1765. Where’s you find that reference?

I believe that says Luzon? I was stationed there at Clark AB during the first Gulf War and was there during the Mount Pinatubo Volcano. I wonder if your guy did the long walk after being captured?
