Re: 2024 POS Exchange
Well the box of Asian poo from Toylvr arrived today. It’s smell reminded me of the stench coming from the dumpsters behind the local fried rice restaurant. The Sabre has very little snap and marked China. The Wild Turkey is usable and came with a nice sheath. The wood handled one is marked Packistan...

Re: old knives for parts or repair
I’m going to keep this thread going. I have a Camillus cigar jack , 3 3/4” , no pattern number that has a worn out tang on the master blade. No snap. It has a nice set of bone handles and the sheep foot and pen blade are about full. If any one would like this for parts send me a PM with address and ...

I’m quite certain that jigging on the Barlow is unique. Looks like folk art to me. Sadly the blade has no snap, is short and liners are bent. Steve B.

Re: China made clones at AAPK?!?! WTF?
Here are some pics of a counterfeit Hubertus lever lock. I found it at a large antique co-op several years ago, paid 60 bucks and was delighted with myself for finding such a deal for a switchblade. I think the dhgate company was involved in this fraud. The plastic stag looking handles and the somewh...

Re: A couple of cigar jack cousins
Most of us are aware that Winchester bought out Napanoch in 1919. We can compare these two that may have been made with the same equipment. Both measure out at 4 1/4”. Both Nap blades have nail nicks while the Winchester main blade has a long pull and a swedge grind. All 4 blades are tang stamped a...

Re: 2023 POS Exchange
Tom (bestgear) sent me a diverse group of knives. The Coca Cola knife is stamped USA. The fancy silver handled gentleman’s knife is in very good condition, made by Olsson from Sweden. :D The knife in the leather sleeve is German with the whale tang stamp. The group with the modern Browning knife is ...

Re: 2023 POS Exchange
And finally, an Imperial cattle knife in excellent condition. I have two solid-bolster Imperials (plus at least a dozen shell-handle ones), but they are very well-used. They also have ugly Bakelite handles. This is my first nice solid-bolster Imperial, and it has Rogers bone handles. The quality is...

I’ll chime in on this thread and share my experience. My cell knives are all stored in the same dark drawer with silicone packets. The drawer is lined with green felt that I believe is treated for silverware storage. The cabinet for this drawer is in a cool dark room in my basement. We run a dehumid...

Barehead jack
I was lucky this past weekend to find this Catt knife in an antique store. This one is my new favorite. Blades are full with plenty of snap. Indian trail bone handles with peened pins. I couldn’t find a tang stamp chart for Catts to find the age of the arched tang stamp. Maybe one of the wisemen (Ro...
