Re: CV Steel?

Thanks for the tips guys. I got my mini trapper and soddie jr. a couple of days ago. There is just something about the yellow handles that says good ol' fashioned classic American pocket knife.

CV Steel?

Ok guys, I look to you with another question as a new guy who is rapidly going down the slipjoint slippery slope :D All of my Case knives so far have had stainless steel blades and they seem ok. I thought I would try the CV steel and recently purchased a mini trapper and a yellow sodbuster jr. with ...

Re: Canal Street Handle Material Question

I have to say that buffalo horn Half Moon Pie Trapper looks awesome. I saw that AG Russell has them in stock and it was tempting. I got my Half Moon Pie a few days ago with the Smooth Sunset Bone Handles and I really like it. The knife itself is beautiful; the fit, finish, and quality is excellent. ...

Re: Canal Street Handle Material Question

I actually just pulled the trigger on my first Canal Street today. I bought a Half Moon Pie Trapper with Smooth Sunset Bone handles. The lines, appearance, and size of the Half Moon Pie is about perfect for me. I have mixed feelings on the handles, currently there doesn't seem to much out there for ...

Canal Street Handle Material Question

I'm a slip joint newbie and so far Case and GEC has been feeding my newfound addiction ::super_happy:: I have a question for all you Canal Street folks that are much more knowledgeable than I am. I really like what Canal Street has to offer and I'm thinking about picking up a Half Moon Pie Trapper w...

New Guy from Minnesota

Hello Everyone :D I'm not new to knives or knife forums but I recently discovered AAPK and I like what I see so far. Most of my knife buying over the last several years has been limited to tactical folders from Emerson, Spyderco, Benchmade, Strider, etc. I recently got the urge to pick up a tradtion...
