That is a really cool set Cato.
I have an Adolph Blaich harness jack and it's one of my favorites for some reason.

No info but I love that set! It looks like it was made for the German market as the stamps and the etch are in German.

I do too Joe. I don't run across all that many. I know they're not exactly ultra rare but from what I see not exactly growing on trees either.

Very nice old jack joe. I only have two empires in my collection but both are as solid and snappy as they come. The kind of quality that keeps me in search of more vintage jacks. Great score!

I always slide the seat forward when I drop something into the vehicle Bermuda triangle. Not a dumb thing to do as things are almost impossible to get out of there sometimes. Sucks such a cool little knife was the casualty of such a freak thing.

Thanks Joe and Dave.
This is the only Columbia I have and I'm extremely impressed with construction. It's old and well used but is as solid and functions like a brand new GEC. Love old jacks!

That ones a beauty Dave!
Here's a couple I like a lot that arrived this week.
A Hibbard that's in great shape other than a broken secondary blade. Great wood scales on this one.
A Columbia eo that is built like a tank. Snaps hard and absolutely ZERO side play on either blade.

Re: Factory or not copperlock with stars and bars
Slavery was bad. Even many slave owners knew that. Unfortunately, much of the south was trapped in an economic situation where it was hard to let go of it, and northern businesses benefited greatly from both the trade and the goods produced by slavery, let us not forget that. As a lateral descenden...

Re: The One That Got Away
I think we've all felt the disappointment on missing out on one that you know you won't find again soon. Sucks getting out bid, but what makes me want to jump off of a tall building is when I get busy and forget about the end of an auction and the knife sells for much less than than what I would hav...

Doesn't get much cooler than that. Especially the part about his daughter buying it without him knowing. Great story
