Re: Let it "fly shut"?

I know this is a high quality knife in craftsmanship and materials, and most knife makers will tell you their knives are made to be used. Now I've been carrying a pocket knife for at least 60 years and use them a lot. Some expensive and some cheap and if it's not a lock back, and even some lock back...

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?

Maybe a "WHAT ARE YOU USING RIGHT NOW" thread. I love looking here at all the beautiful knives, but I think in reality some of them are being carried (maybe) and not really used. Don't get me wrong, I really don't care, like I said I enjoy seeing them all. But every knife I've ever carrie...

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?

Oh goodie, yesterday I have to post after Montanaman and today it's a Tony Wood special. At this rate, we're gonna need a new EDC thread, "WHAT SECOND-CLASS RUN-OF-THE-MILL KNIFE ARE YOU CARRYING RIGHT NOW?" I'm about to sit down for lunch, so I'll have a coke (bottle) and a smile. ...

Re: Lansky or Work Sharp ?

I use stones and manually hand sharpen, but I do have a work sharp. I bought it thinking it would have a purpose in my workshop, and it does. It's perfect for anything you use in the yard or field and can put a nice edge on any knife, fast. But it does remove material quick on a thin blade, so I wou...

Welcome to the forums. Hang around, your luck will change with this bunch here. I was looking at your knives. I saw your Kiser Dukes flipper at Blade HQ, it really caught my eye right away.

Scott, just hang in there and whatever you do, just listen to your doctors and do what they tell you to do and you will be okay. I'm talking from experience. It's okay to be nervous, just remember we're all pulling for you. Good luck buddy.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............

Because of the postal holiday on Monday, I wasn't expecting this until Tuesday. I like surprises. I really like those Case caplifter. I was telling my wife just the other day that I was going to buy those as Christmas gifts for my buddy's. It's only proper since we're always drinking beer together....

Re: EDC fear of loss

I carry a cheap ($35) Kershaw assisted opening knife with a clip on my pocket and a victorinox tinkerer ($35) in my pocket. Not too much money if I lose one and they hold up great. I think they cut just as good as a knife costing 10 times as much, and I'm not into the image thing of pulling a $300 p...

I collect whatever appeals to me at the moment so I have a very eclectic collection. Anything from .99 to whatever it takes, if I have the money. The only real hang up I have is Schrade. I have more of them than any other knife. Lately I've added quite a few to my "Schrade Shrine" as I cal...

All I know is when Case has a run on second cut the price is higher. For what reason I don't know, I always wondered what the difference was between first cut and second as well.

It does resemble an oyster knife, but I'm with you on the handle. An oyster knife isn't a delicate tool, usually they're pretty damn stout.
