Re: The Official POS Knife Thread
While going to put the Primble away, I found 3 more POS knives I'd turned up somewhere. I swear I don't go looking for these things, they just find their way to me. First up, for all you Steve Irwin fans, a Crocodile knife, straight from China. Second, uh, a green knife. Only marking is USA. Scales ...

Re: The Official POS Knife Thread
No, I just can't let an old thread die. Especially when I turn up something like this. I found it while looking through my tool cabinet last summer. I don't know who the previous owner was, but I think he got all the good out of it.

Re: The Official POS Knife Thread
Here's another one from me. It's a Browning 762 model. This one was in the pile of knives I inherited from my grandfather. As you can see, it's had a rough life. I'm hoping to fix it up come this spring. It still functions fine, apart from the handle parts slipping around.

Re: Where to Buy Pin-Stock for Knife Repairs
Many hobby and craft shops carry K&S brand tubing and solid rods. Also sheet brass and copper in small amounts. I've found the K&S stuff at Hobbytown USA and Hobby Lobby.

Re: Old Unusual Novelty Knives And Secret Knives
A few pages back, someone posted a 'trick' knife. I'm not sure if my knife requires the same trick, but here's mine, from Germany. It has a sliding ball bearing inside that locks the knife when you close the blade and press lightly on it, then tip the knife. To open you press the (closed) blade sli...

Re: The Official POS Knife Thread
You can't keep a good thread down, at least not as long as I keep finding these old crap knives. First up, the type that used to be my EDC knife before I switched to the Bokers I posted earlier in the thread. They were sold in blister packs at Kmart for years and I went through 1 or 2 a year. I'd ei...

Re: The Official POS Knife Thread
Jerry, I think you've hit it exactly. We can't bear to give one up as long as there's at least one good part left. And that's not all the POSs in the pile, just the 3 that I thought were most interesting.
That Pinocchio/Donkey knife makes me wonder what the rest of the setting looked like.

Re: The Official POS Knife Thread
Oh boy, a thread a new guy like me can add to! I recently ended up with my late grandfather's 'Knife Collection', if you can call 80 or so knives, of mostly poor quality, thrown in a briefcase, a collection. So, first up, an Ulster 98. All blades sharpened many times and not very well. Scale on this...

Hello From Bargle, a New Guy.
Hi, everyone. I recently became a de facto knife collector when I ended up with my late Grandfather's 'knife collection'. It consisted of 60-80 knives of many different sorts, thrown in a briefcase. 80% were just really cheap kitchen knives and junk pocket knives from China and Pakistan, but there w...
