Re: Schrade scrimshaw ?
Eric,
You are correct again!
I see the rabbit in 83 on the 505SC but it's not the 511SC. (I think the picture is a 511SC).
The 511SC was 1st done in 84 with a chipmunk on the handle.
Might it be from a different set of scrims?
I'm still looking.
Thanks
Larry

The new USA Schrades can be viewed here.

Schrade knives are made by AOB American Outdoor Brands
AOB is an offshoot of Smith and Wesson whom bought the Schrade name a few years ago.
Not the old Schrade designs for sure.

Re: Schrade Walden 826
I don't see it in any other than the 53 and 54 price lists.
The one mentions its the same as the Westerner (825) with special covers for a marketing stamp.
Looking for more details but records before 1959 are slim
Great looking knife.

Re: Uncle Henry 885 UH question
WW, The 885UH was 1st produced in 1969 with a count of 268 shipped for the year. It was 1st introduced in the 1970 Catalog. The P range would have been reached in the serial production about 1977 by my counting. At the the end of 1976 they were at 171,304 Shipped and 229,102 was reached at the end o...

As far as I can tell the Ulster OT's were produced shortly after the Schrade versions. The schrade 58 after the 8 which was after the 2 and 3.
Merry Xmas all!

Also...
In 1998 they brought out the DBL2 with the pointed black blade without the pry end on the handle. Similar blade profiles to add to our confusion.
Stay well.

Re: Schrade Bomb Tech Special Edition
There were 2 versions of the knife. The BT01 (1995) was pointed and was not called the bomb tech. The BTV7 (1996) has the blunted tip and the bomb tech logo and a different sheath It was also serialized where the BT01 does not look to be so. I dont believe the BTV7 flyer was posted publicly as it wa...

Any DNA collectable on the WJFH that may be G. Schrades?
It's a shame it never made it to production.. There would be a lot of thinner fingers out there.
