Re: Bull Buster & Mudbug

I like both subject knives, but prefer the locking & thinner profile of the Mudbug. I've found the Mudbugs to positively be sharper than anything else coming out of GEC. I assume this is because S&S tunes up the edge in house before sending them out. It baffles my mind why GEC won't put out ...

Re: Mail Call, Post Your New GECs.

I think I have a new favorite, it’s these Mavericks, man are these nice. Can’t believe they only made 25 of each of these. The pull is easy, snap is great, the fit and finish are immaculate. I think I like the Kingwood better than the bone, maybe it’s the bolsters, I do like the stripes on that one...

Re: GEC#93 Ram's Foot knife PPP 2019

I suppose the only way to know what the difference is between the 93 and 47 frames is to get a new 93 and post pics of it next to my 47 Hayn Helper Not my picture and it's not a Hay'n Helper, but here's a good comparison of the new 93 & a 47 Viper. They're much more similar than I'd have thought.

Re: What Knife Would You Like GEC To Make ?

I want this, in coal black ebony with the same shield as shown. Put a bolster on their 47 frame & they'd have it. Wouldn't hurt my feelings if the blade stock was heavier than usual. Would probably take the same knife in jigged bone too. Ebony to start though.

The smallish 14 pattern just doesn't move me, but otherwise it's a fine knife. I too will skip the mad dash for these.

Re: Bulldog brand knives rehandled

There's a few members here that do great work. I too have a BD knife that I'm thinking of getting re-handled. Google Muskrat Man Knives. He (Kaleb) gets good reviews on these pages.

I'm sure others will chime in later on this thread with other suggestions/recommendations.
