Re: Schrade Automatic Knives
I have to ask……….. The 'pullball' design requires holding the knife and pulling the ball with the other hand. Doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of an automatic knife?

Re: Good to Very Good???
I by no means am ready to grade knives in any way but if "good" can be associated with that, I don't want to be......I would put the knife in good to very good condition....

Re: Hillsville Gun & Knife Show Finds !!!
That Case 6143 XX Daddy Barlow is very interesting Monk. There is a transition round/ellipse to flat. Like a lot of things here, new to me. What was the purpose/intent/use?

Re: A. W. Wadsworth & Son
WOW! PRESTO! BOING! Why did I waste those hours poking around. I should just ask the magic genies in the first place. http://serve.mysmiley.net/love/love0030.gif Thanks so much for the rapid-fire knowledge, Miller & OW. And you are right! A close look at the butt bolster and one side shows swiv...

Re: A. W. Wadsworth & Son
My first stab did seem to turn into a thread so I guess it worked. Not sure how I managed the picture arrangement but I'll finger it out from here.

A. W. Wadsworth & Son
DSC04517-e.jpg After foraging around for a week this seems the likely place to ask my first major dumb question and attempt my first pic post. If this is better suited for another category or under another topic, please move the thread to where ever it belongs. One of the three accumulated question...

Re: Schrade Automatic Knives
Here are a couple of more Pull Balls. The top is gold filled with a full polish on the blade and stamped for the JCN Co. The lower one is a standard plastic and with the G.Schrade "A" stamp. per Erickson. How very neat! Pull Balls are completely new to me. Even the double blades on a swit...

Re: Who I am (so far) and how I got here
Thanks for the friendly welcome, ............ BUT, I don't think I'm going to like this place. :x I may have to delete my profile and email address from this site and wipe my HD clean and start over, pretending I never came here. I'm NOT a collector and I DON'T WANT TO BE a collector! I don't know ...

Re: Canal Street Display
May I ask….? Even as a neophyte I can see the works of art and your outstanding display of them. The 3rd horizontal knife from the left bottom, ….is that also a Canal Street? The bowtie shield looks like it has 'AAPK' inscribed. Does the group have a custom knife and if so, was it made by Shrade/Ca...

Re: old wise tale about knives
Another nugget and most interesting. Many years ago I was given, what you've taught me is a pruner, by an old electrician. It was a well used "hawkbill" and he wanted a penny for it, saying it was bad luck to get a knife without paying for it. Only time I ever heard that and just connecte...

Who I am (so far) and how I got here
I bring greetings from the southest shore of the north coast. I was born at a very early age with nothing and still have most of it. I've lived under the last 13 presidents of the US and I love my country and detest politics. I have a grown son and daughter that I'm very proud of and 5 grandk...

Re: D. Peres Solingen Germany Lock Knife
I'm brand new to this site and to "collectable" knives. The only thing I have is age and being around long enough to see a few things.
While no 'expert' in knives, I agree that is a mechanism I have see only on switchblades over the years.
