I got a lockback in Stonewashed Blue bone. This is a really nice knife. It's based on the #73 Sout pattern; it's slightly longer, but the handles are the same length, just the bolster is longer. The blades are the same length, but the clip point blade on the lockback is wider with a different profil...

I can understand why he might have been puzzled when they offer so many nice handles and textures. Any of their hardwood handles should be plenty durable.

I have one of their Congress pattern with the large spear point blade. Really nice knife...but they are not going to make any more of them.

The Tidioute have plain satin 1095 blades and plain bolsters. Northfield models have highly polished 1095 blades with ground swedges, and many also have fancy bolsters; slanted, threaded, pinched, or all three.
