Very Rare Kershaw Prototype, Groove 1730 Proto, RJ Martin Design, Unused. This is 1 of 2 prototypes for the Kershaw Groove. The knife is an RJ Martin design and has several variations. It's been out of production for many years. It's a popular model and hard to find today. 

Kershaw does not normally release or sale Prototypes of any model to the public. The knife was purchased in a collection owned by a former Manager at Kershaw. There were 2 prototypes made of the Groove. I owned both at one time and kept this one because it had better flipping action, lockup and was in a little bit better condition. If you collect Kershaw knives or the Groove model, this is your chance to add an impossible to find knife! 

- Has never been carried, used or sharpened. The blade is slightly off center. I don't see any other condition issues. See the pictures as they represent the condition accurately.

- Functions well and flips open smoothly with good lockup. 

- approximately 8  inch total length, approximately 3 1/2 inch blade.

- Knife and Kershaw storage pouch.
