ADDITIONAL INFO:      This is the second time I have seen this particular variation of the Schrade 4 inch stockman pattern, the same pattern as the Old Timer, 8OT “Senior.” This is a nice knife, especially for fans of the 8OT, and I think it’s one of the prettier versions with brass bolsters, the brass eagle shield and the black saw cut Delrin handles. The blades on this knife are quite a bit fuller than the previous I had.

Last time I sold one of these knives I did some research and found very little information, but what I found I will post below here.

I am uncertain of the exact time frame that these knives were made but I would guesstimate them to have been made in the 1980s. I have seen other knives on line with the ACA EDGE blade etch and the Eagle shield and all did not appear to have been made by Schrade. A couple appeared to have been made by Imperial, patterns that were from the Imperial Frontier line. Camillus, Albert Baer owned all Schrade & Imperial at this time and there is evidence that some of the knives in the Frontier line were made at the Imperial factory in Providence Rhode Island, some patterns were made by Camillus and yet other patterns were made by Schrade. The dating on these patterns would also point to the 1980s as well. I am certain this particular knife was made in the Schrade factory because it has no visible pivot pins indicating it was made with the Swinden Key system. This is an excellent knife either for the user or the collector!
