ADDITIONAL INFO: The Starkey Ridge knives seem to be a very short-lived series, I have only been able to find them in the 1999-2000 Kershaw catalog. They were designed by Ken onion and part of a series of High-Tech Knives to welcome in the 21st century. These knives were made with ATS34 steel, which I am told was extremely pure steel. As with any steel it’s performance is only as good as the heat treating. I first encountered ATS34 in and Al Mar knife I purchased in the 1980s and I have been a big fan of ATS34 ever since! My current favorite last two favorite EDCs have been Kershaws with ATS34 steel.
This knife has some great features to it besides the ATS34 steel. Incidentally this blade is hardened to 59-61 Rockwell C. It features one-handed opening and Teflon coated bushings and is very easy to use one-handed. The pocket clip can be repositioned for left-hand or right-hand users. Priced to sell!
