BLADE WEAR:   Blade appears to be 95%+ full.   MADE IN:   Solingen, Germany   ADDITIONAL INFO:     According to “Goins’ Encyclopedia of Cutlery Markings” Anton Wingen Jr. started making knives circa 1875 and continued at least until the time Goins book was published which was 1998. To the best of my knowledge, they are still in business. This company made a lot contract knives for American companies. This knife may have made for a US company as a special edition commemorative. I left the sheath with the knife, just as I bought it. It appears the knife belonged to someone, likely a sailor, who was proficient in knotwork.
