ADDITIONAL INFO:   The first listing I can find these and my catalogers are in the 1991 catalog. Kershaw started making the task force handle to provide extra grip to provide a better grab in situations where the user's hands may be wet, covered in blood or fish slime. I have owned a number of Kershaw knives with these Task Force handles and they are very good at providing a sure grip in what could be slippery conditions. The Task Force handle provides a much sure and safer grip when your hands can be slippery. I am not sure how long this knife was made; I was only able to locate it in my 1991 and 1993 Kershaw catalogs.
