Schrade Double Model 744GG Gold
Very hard to find Schrade double model 744GG. Described as "green gold" plated in the Schrade catalog, and is described as "gold wash." Knife measures 5 3/4" tip to tip and 2 7/8" closed. Has been sharpened. Fires great. Bounce on primary with a heavier press of the button. Lock up is good. No wobble when shaken but can move the primary a bit a finger though. Safeties work. There is some peek, with about 2mm on the primary and 1mm on the secondary. This one has bale, which is uncommon for the gold plated doubles. There was a bale on the sterling silver models 744SS. A bale could be ordered by a customer for 25 cents. This knife is not mint, but unique and very cool.
