SCHRADE U.S.A. 497 "GOLD RUSH" 49'ER VINTAGE HIGH CARBON STEEL FIXED BLADE HUNTING KNIFE & SHEATH
Vintage 1970's USA 497 Custom "Bench Made" Gold Rush collection 49'er fixed blade high carbon steel hunting & skinning knife. Knife does not appear to have been used or carried and instead appears to have been part of a past vintage knife collection. Blade has factory edge only and is unmarked with no carbon stains or pitting, the stacked leather finger grooved handle is in very nice condition as is the brass hilt and pommel, both with hammered textured Gold Rush nuggets, a feature designed interest and tie-in to the Gold Rush period. This was a limited production of this style Schrade knife, with the craftsman stamp of approval into the pommel as pictured, this was his personal stamp of approval to the high-quality work performed on the knife. Knife comes with the original leather sheath stamped with the Gold Rush 49'er insignia. Knife blade measures 4 1/2" in length and 8 3/4" overall knife length.
