Antique Pine Knot – Easy Open Jack – Brown Picked Bone
This is an antique Pine Knot brand knife, which was made approximately 1910-1940 range. This is an easy open jackknife pattern, and measures 3 5/8 inch closed. Handles are brown picked bone style jigging. This knife has iron bolsters, brass liners, and propeller style shield.
The main blade has a half stop, and a long pull. The handles feature very nice antique looking jig style bone. The front handle center pin on the bottom has a very light line that you can feel with your fingernail. You be the judge if this is a crack or natural feature of the bone. It looks to be old, not a recent blemish.
The blades have patina, and have been used and sharpened. The tang on the 2nd blade is more visible than the one on the main. Both blades have good snap closed.
