Vintage EdgeCo Special Forces OTF
Vintage EdgeCo Special Forces OTF knife. This was a kit Knife like the other offerings from the Edge Company. It is in really nice shape minus one defect. Unfortunately on this model and other models like it the shell near the blade opening is prone to cracking from the force of the blade deploying and retracting. The shell is made of brittle plastic and I am sure was never designed to last 40 years like some of the knives that pop up here and there. Full disclosure there is a crack that has developed and I have circled the area in one of the photos.
The good news is the knife still functions as intended. The blade opens and retracts with no issues and other than the small crack the knife is great shape. Never sharpened with the factory edge. It does have the normal blade play of these types of OTF knives.
