NOS CRKT M16-02 (early model)
This knife is an early-production CRKT M16-02 in New Old Stock (NOS) condition means it is completely different from the modern stainless steel reissue. The original, early models (produced starting in 1999) featured anodized aluminum scale handles and an AUS-4 or AUS-8 steel blade, and they were manufactured in Taiwan.
- Collector Appeal: Early-generation aluminum M16 models are highly sought after by vintage CRKT collectors because they feel more premium and rigid than modern steel or Zytel (FRN) counterparts.
- NOS Premium: Because it is New Old Stock (never used, carried, or sharpened, and ideally still in its original vintage box), it commands a true collector's premium.
