ADDITIONAL INFO: I don’t know a great deal about Cattaraugus Cutlery Company so I did little research. John B. F. Champlin founded Cattaraugus Cutlery Company in 1880. He founded Cattaraugus to make only high grade cutlery. Interestingly enough Rear Admiral Richard Byrd carried many Cattaraugus knives on his expeditions to the North Pole and the South Pole.
Researching in Lavona Ferguson book, Romance of Collecting Knives I could not find this exact knife listed but several very close to it. This is a very high quality knife, that much is evidenced by the fit and finish in the snap of this old knife!
