This is a Very Large Vintage H BOKER & CO’S IMPROVED CUTLERY 2- Blade Equal End Pen Folding Pocket Knife with a Used and Sharpened Carbon Steel Spear Point Main Blade with a Common Nail Pull, a Used and Sharpened Carbon Steel Pen Secondary Blade with a Common Nail Pull, a Beautiful Set of Jigged Bovine Bone Scales with 3 Very Tight Hard to See Pin Cracks and a Very Small Hard to See Sliver Out From the Very Bottom of the Front Scale, a Nickel Silver Crest Shaped Shield on the Front Scale, 3 Nickel Silver Handle Pins in Each Scale, Nickel Silver Rounded and Flat Bolsters, Brightly Polished Brass Liners, a Single Heavy Duty Steel Back Spring with No Cracks or Breaks, 4 1/8” in Length, Made by H Boker & Co’s in Solingen, Germany Between c.1920’s-1930’s.

This has got to be biggest pen knives I’ve ever seen. I know Case made a 4 3/8” or 4 5/8” long pen but that’s about it. This is a very nice H Boker & Co’s Improved Cutlery Equal End Pen Pocket Knife made in their factory in Solingen, Germany in the 1920’s and 1930’s. The knife has a used and sharpened carbon steel spear point main blade with a common nail pull. The front face has some light scratches from sharpening and some very light pitting under the nail pull and a few less nearer the blade tip. The rear face is pretty clean. There are more scratches from cleaning than there are from use. Stamped on the front tang is H BOKER & CO’S (over) IMPROVED (over) CUTLERY with the Boker Tree Brand logo to its left. The secondary blade is a used and sharpened carbon steel pen blade with a common nail pull. Both blade faces are pretty clean and polished up well. Stamped on the front tang is H BOKER & CO’S (over) IMPROVED (over) CUTLERY. Stamped on the rear tang is the Boker Tree Brand tree logo used in that era. Both blades have excellent hard and loud snap on open and close. The knife has a set of medium brown jigged bovine bone scales. There is a very tight, hard to see, crack on the front scale on the spear blade pivot end that runs from the pin to the bolster. Theres also a tight crack on each end pin on the rear scale. There’s maybe a extremely small, nearly imperceptible sliver off the very bottom of the front scale as well next to the front bolster. There is a German Silver crest shaped shield on the front scale. There are three (3) German Silver handle pins in each scale. The knife has polished German Silver rounded and flat bolsters. It has brightly polished brass liners and a single heavy duty steel back spring. The back spring is free of any cracks or breaks and continues to perform the functions it was designed to perform. This great old Very Large Vintage H Boker & Co’s Improved Cutlery 2-Blade Equal End Pen Knife is 4 1/8” long and was made in the Boker Baumwerks factory located in Solingen, Germany factory between the 1920’s and 1930’s.
