ADDITIONAL INFO: I just got this knife this week in a group of knives I purchased from a fellow. I have not had a Barrage® before but I must admit this is a very nice knife! The Axis® Assist
is a very positive assisted opening mechanism. It almost feels more sure than the SpeedSafe® mechanism that Kershaw uses. The blade in the Barrage seems to move a hair slower than a SpeedSafe but it doesn’t make the knife jump out of my hand either. I like the Axis® Assist mechanism and will look for it in future Benchmade purchases. The only indication of use I see on this knife is a little missing black finish in two or three places on the edge of the pocket clip. That is the only indication I see that would make me think this knife is ever been carried. I find no other evidence of abuse or wear on this knife.
