Parker Cut. Co. Tak Fukuta 8 1/8" Drop Point Hunting Knife w/Stainless Steel Blade & Stag Scales Japan

This is a scarce vintage hunting knife made by Tak Fukuta in Seki, Japan in the 1980s for Parker Cut. Co. It features beautiful smooth stag scales with nickel silver guard, bimetalic pins, lanyard hole and mirror polished stainless steel blade etched with the Parker logo and "Hand Made By Tak Fukuta". The tang is stamped on one side with "Parker Cut. Co." and the Parker logo and on the opposite tang with  "Surgical Steel Made in Japan" on the other. Includes a black embossed leather sheath. Tak Fukuta was the first Japanese member of the American Knife Maker's Guild, and apprentice to Bob Loveless. He hand crafted fine quality knives that impressed his mentor. Over the years, his factory in Seki, Japan also produced knives for Parker, Valor, Gutmann, Explorer, Frost, and Browning among others.
