This is an extremely nice Vintage or Antique EMPIRE WINSTED, CT 2-Blade Equal End Senator Pen Pocket Knife. It has a used and sharpened carbon steel spear point main blade with a common nail pull. Both faces have scratches from use and some extremely light very scattered pitting. Overall the blade is in very good condition and polished up very well. Stamped on the front tang is EMPIRE (over) WINSTED (over) CT. On the other end of the frame is a lightly used and sharpened carbon steel pen secondary blade with a common nail pull. Both faces have scratches from use and sharpening but other than than that both faces are clean. Stamped on the front tang is EMPIRE (over) WINSTED (over) CT. Both blades polished up very well and both still have good open and close snap and the pen blade has a hard half-stop. Neither blade has any side to side wobble and no up or down play. The knife has a beautiful set of fiery genuine Mother-of-Pearl scales. They’re free of any cracks or splits but there’s just some very light chipping on the very bottom of the rear scale. Both of the translucent pearl scales have excellent color and show the greens, blues, purples and pinks in a great slice of pearl. There are three nickel silver handle pins in each scale.
