Crucible Knife Co. New York Scout Knife
Goin's Encyclopedia of Cutlery Markings shows Crucible Knife Co. New York as a tang stamp used c.1926-1929 as a trade mark for W.T.Grant. This knife has that old time quality that was so prevelant during the pre WWII era. The handles are chip and crack free gorgeous honey brown jigged bone. The main spear blade shows wear but features a super swedge and long pull. All blades/implements open and close with excellent snap and no wobble. The nickel silver bolsters are groved adding a touch of class. The SCOUT shield is pinned. It all comes together to make one mighty fine vintage scout knife. It would make a great addition to any collection or is ready to serve you on your next camping trip.
