1950's French Bargeon Switchblade, Beautiful Bone Handle With Bail, Hard To Find, Unused
1950's Bargeon Switchblade, Beautiful Bone Handle With Bail, Hard To Find, Unused. Made in France. I believe this knife is from the 1950's based on the oval button and real bone handle which are both very hard to find on these knives.
I HAVE A VIDEO AVAILABLE OF THIS KNIFE. PLEASE CONTACT ME BY TEXT @ (3 ZERO 3) - 5 FOUR 9 - 1 4 1 9 AND I WILL SEND IT TO YOU.
- Looks unused to me. There are a few small nicks and scratches on the bolsters. These appear to be from handling and poor storage. The blade has some minor patina and is off center. There are rub marks on the blade from contacting the liner. There are cracks in the bone at the top pins on the front side of the handle. They appear stable and aged with the bone. Please see the pictures as they represent the condition accurately.
- Functions great, fires strong and locks up with very little blade play. Safety works and slides smoothly locking the blade. It is a little loose sliding down to release the blade. The knife is a button open, button close mechanism.
- Approximately 8 1/4 inch total length without bail, approximately 3 1/2 inch blade.
- Knife only.
