Boker & Co Between the 1920’s & 1930’s.
If you collect vintage Boker pocket knives it’s going to be hard to find one better than this Salesman’s Sample. Although it would pass for Mint under the NKCA guidelines I’ll call it Near Mint to Mint just because of a few specks on the spear blade. Made in the 1920’s to 1930’s this Barehead Jack was made in the H. Boker & Co factory in Solingen, Germany. This beautiful old Boker has an unused and unsharpened carbon steel spear point main blade with a common nail pull. It still has its original factory mirror polish and its original factory edge. There are maybe three of four almost imperceptible specks on the front face and that’s and that’s it. Hand printed on the rear face is the salesman’s code for the sample of 15865C. Stamped on the front tang is the Boker Tree logo and to its right H BOKER (over) & CO (over) SOLINGEN. It also has an unused and unsharpened carbon steel pen secondary blade with a common nail pull. Both faves still have their original factory mirror polish and the blade still has its original factory edge. Stamped on the front tang is the Boker Tree logo and to its right H BOKER (over) & CO (over) SOLINGEN. Both blades have hard open and close snap.The knife has a great set of slick black solid composition scales with no cracks, splits or missing chips. There is a brightly polished nickel silver bar shield inlaid flush in the front scale. There are three brightly polished brass handle pins in each scale. The knife has brightly polished nickel silver bolsters with no dents or dings. The knife has brightly polished brass liners and two brightly polished steel back springs. Both back springs are free of any cracks or breaks and both continue to perform the functions they were designed to perform. This outstanding vintage Salesman’s Sample H BOKER & CO SOLINGEN Barehead Jack Folding Pocket Knife is in Near Mint to Mint condition and is 3 3/8” in length.
